truffles when dried

Having bought a whole load of truffles with the view of conserving them, I was dismayed to read on this forum that,once dried, they loose their potency(Re:Aragorn).I can only hope that this was down to the drying method used.If not,is it possible to conserve them in a fresh state,possibly in a vacuum sealed bag in the fridge?I know that all 'shrooms degrade to a certain degree when dried,but are truffles particulary vulnerable?

How to keep your Truffles fresh:

After cleaning and breathing of the Truffles, put them in your fridge in a closed plastic, make sure it is clean, container with a few small holes in the lid.
