white fur growing on mushroom mechanism

the mushroom kit is slowley growing mushrooms but on the soil that they are growing from ther is white fur.

is this good or bad

lo, that's good mate, that's the mycelium. Mycelium grows through-out the substrate, and when it reaches the edge and surface of what ever it's growing on or in, and is then exposed to light, a hormone is released, which triggers mushroom growth, it's just a mechanism so that it knows where it can productively grow mushrooms (on top of the substrate, instead of in it) and hopefully drop it's spores...

I can confirm that that's definately normal, even essential. Read any shroom guide and you'll learn that there are 2 distinct phases to the growth of the fungus: colonization, in which the mycellium (white fluff) spreads over the soil; then fruiting, in which the mushrooms themselves start to grow.
