What is Astaxanthin?
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid found in microalgae, yeast and krill. Astaxanthin is one of many carotenoid pigments. Salmon and flamingo’s get their pink glow from eating red coloured algae rich in asthaxanthin. Unlike most carotenoids, asthaxanthin is not converted into Vitamin A in the body. BioAstin Hawaiian Astaxanthin is non-toxic when taken orally.

The commercial food industry uses synthetic astaxanthin derived from petrochemicals instead of natural algae astaxanthin. BioAstin Hawaiian Astaxanthin is formulated using microalgae grown in freshwater ponds located in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. No harmful pesticides, herbicides and genetically modified organisms are used.

Dosage: Take one gel cap (12mg) daily. Astaxanthin should be taken with food, preferably healthy high-fat foods, fat will help with the absorption rate in the body. Users of BioAstin Hawaiian Astaxanthin generally report improvements within 2-6 weeks with daily use.
