California Indica, the offspring of sativa leaning California Orange Bud bred with Sensi Seeds’ Northern Lights #1 x Afghani Hash Plant hybrid, is a fast flowering, heavy yielding strain. Fans of beloved old-school strain California Orange Bud will love the impressive crop of orange and hash-scented buds.

California Indica Phenotypes
California Indica has two indica dominant phenotypes. Plants can display sativa traits though due to the Californian parent strain's sativa leaning genetics.

Feminised Traits
Feminised seeds are specifically bred to produce all female plants. Purchasing high-quality genetics from reputable seedbanks is highly recommended, this diminishes your chances of finding male or hermaphrodite plants among your crop. Feminised plants, contrary to autoflowers, depend on the photoperiod to flower. In the early growing stage feminised marijuana plants need 18 hours of daylight and 6 hours of darkness. The plants start the flowering period at the end of the summer (usually August) as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes (12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness). Compared to autoflowering seeds, feminised seeds have the following advantages:

2. Higher yield
3. Higher potency than autoflowering plants
4. Possibility to extend the growing stage/develop mother plants

Fragrance & Flavour
As California Indica plants grow and flower they emit a mellow, subtle aroma. The dried buds have a delicious hash flavour accented by sweet citrus notes. The taste of orange dominates but some flowers can have lemony or grapefruit undertones.

Effects
California Indica provides a cerebral sativa high accompanied by a relaxing body-buzz. The warm, relaxing effect is perfectly balanced by an uplifting mental high. The long-lasting effect is never overpowering.

Growing Characteristics
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced grower you should have no trouble cultivating this easy to grow strain. California Indica performs well in a variety of growing conditions but performs best in temperate or continental climates with warm summers. The strain’s indica ancestry dominates the growth pattern; plants remain small becoming bushy as the dense buds fill out. The strain flowers for just 45-50 days doubling in size from its vegetative height. With a bit of care, growers are rewarded by large, resinous flower clusters. California Indica’s long pistils give the buds a more orange than green appearance.
