Purple Trainwreck Feminised is a classic, exotic Californian hybrid. A crossbreed of Humboldt’s own California Trainwreck and 20+ year-old Mendocino Purple, this appealing Purple phenotype gained fame in the 2000s. Highly potent, highly resistant, with heavy resin production and beautiful violet hues, Purple Trainwreck is an elite strain!

Feminised Traits
Feminised seeds are specifically bred to produce all female plants. Purchasing high-quality genetics from reputable seedbanks is highly recommended, this diminishes your chances of finding male or hermaphrodite plants among your crop. Feminised plants, contrary to autoflowers, depend on the photoperiod to flower. In the early growing stage feminised marijuana plants need 18 hours of daylight and 6 hours of darkness. The plants start the flowering period at the end of the summer (usually August) as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes (12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness). Compared to autoflowering seeds, feminised seeds have the following advantages:

  1. Plants are usually taller/more robust
  2. Higher yield
  3. Higher potency than autoflowering plants
  4. Possibility to extend the growing stage/develop mother plants

Fragrance & Flavour
Purple Trainwreck emits a citrusy aroma with undertones of warm spices. The flavour profile is an incredible blend of lemon, pine wood, and lavender with sweet berry and pepper notes.

Effects
At first cerebral and invigorating, these effects soon give way to a powerful, long-lasting body stone. In high doses, the initial cerebral effects can feel almost psychedelic. High speed, until you sink into the couch!

Growing Characteristics
Purple Trainwreck is highly resistant to moisture and pests, which makes her a good beginner strain though only experienced growers will be able to bring out her true potential. Outdoors she performs best in temperate, warm, dry and Mediterranean climates. Plants will develop beautiful purple colouring if exposed to lower nighttime temperatures.

Purple Trainwreck’s leaves are thin with large internodal spacing allowing light to reach every part of her. In the last few weeks of her flowering cycle, bud production kicks into overdrive. Her high yielding potential depends on the pot size, climate and the amount of sunlight she receives. Overall Purple Trainwreck requires very little maintenance.
