Kanna UC Extract

Kanna UC Extract is a highly concentrated extract of the Kanna plant. Compared to powdered plant material it is much more potent. Kanna UC Extract has a comparably much faster onset, which makes it well suited for use as a snuff, but also for all other routes of administration. The effect doesn’t last as long as with other extracts but makes up for that through its potent effect. Kanna UC Extract provides a wonderfully relaxed mood and a pleasurable social buzz. Background
Kanna or Sceletium tortuosum is a succulent commonly found in South Africa also known as Channa or Kougoed, which in Dutch means “something to chew”. Kanna has a long history of use, more than 200 years ago the Khoisan people of southern Africa sniffed, chewed, and smoked kanna for its euphoric effects. Kanna has a positive effect on anxiety, stress and tension. Some users report reaching a meditative state of mind. Bodily sensations are sometimes enhanced. The most prominent active alkaloids are mesembrine, mesembrenone, mesembrenol and tortuosamine. Mesembrine, which appears to be the molecule mainly responsible for the subjective effect of Kanna, is known to work as an SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor), the same mechanism active in modern antidepressants.
