Afghan Indica Strains

Many modern hybrids count Afghan as part of their parentage. Originating in the Hindu Kush mountain range, which makes up a large portion of Afghanistan, landrace Afghan indica strains have been crossbred for generations resulting in many variations with their own distinct physical characteristics and effects. Afghani #1 Feminized is the outcome of Sensi Seeds’ meticulous breeding program using their best Afghan hash plants.

Feminised Traits

Feminised seeds are specifically bred to produce all female plants. Purchasing high-quality genetics from reputable seedbanks is highly recommended, this diminishes your chances of finding male or hermaphrodite plants among your crop. Feminised plants, contrary to autoflowers, depend on the photoperiod to flower. In the early growing stage feminised marijuana plants need 18 hours of daylight and 6 hours of darkness. The plants start the flowering period at the end of the summer (usually August) as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes (12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness). Compared to autoflowering seeds, feminised seeds have the following advantages:

2. Higher yield
3. Higher potency than autoflowering plants
4. Possibility to extend the growing stage/develop mother plants

Fragrance & Flavour

Afghani #1 is a fragrant indica, the bud smells sweet, earthy, and spicy. The taste of resin dominates, Afghani #1 Feminized is a hash plant after all, rounded off by the sweet, earthy and spicy-incense flavours characteristic of Aghan indicas.

Effects

The nearly pure indica Afghani #1 Feminized is highly potent, offering long lasting full body relaxation. Afghani #1 is a great end of the day or night time strain. Growing Characteristics

Classic strain Afghani #1 Feminized grows to a medium height with thick lateral branches. Outdoors Afghani #1 prefers warm, sunny Mediterranean climates with long summers. To help the plant reach her full potential size and yield wise, time her vegetative state (8 to 10 weeks) so that Afghani #1 starts flowering at the end of summer. Afghani #1 plants double their vegetated height during the flowering period. A shorter growing period (vegetative state) will produce plants with a height that maxes out at 100 cm.

Plants grown from Afghani #1 feminized seeds achieve the highest yield when they’re allowed to grow naturally, with a single main stem and unpruned branches. The feminized cannabis plants flower for 7-9 weeks yielding medium-sized, solid, resinous buds. As the long white pistils turn orange, the top section of the stem should be one compact, massive cola saturated in resin. By the time they reach maturity the buds will be coated in a thick blanket of sticky resin.
