Keep your herbs fresher longer! Save the terps! Boveda's Herb Humidity Control packs are the best way to store cannabis and other fresh herbs. No more stale herb! Keep delicious aroma and potent effects intact. For cannabis buds, the ideal relative humidity range (RH) is 58%-62%. For herbs, the ideal RH is 58%. Adding a Boveda humidity pack to an airtight container, jar, or ziplock bag protects herbs against trichome damage, terpene (flavour) loss, overdrying and mould.

Which relative humidity (RH) level is right for you?

  • Choose 58% for herbs, if you prefer drier cannabis buds or live in a humid climate
  • Choose 62% if you prefer sticky, fluffy buds, live in a dry climate or at high altitudes
  • Choose 62% to cure recently harvested bud

Which size is right for you?
Size 13x8 is for:

  • Large airtight weed storage containers or ziplock bags, including jars, canisters, etc.
  • Preserve up to 450 grams of herbs or cannabis flower

How do you store herbs or cannabis with Boveda Herb Humidity packs?
That's easy. Remove the plastic wrapper, open your airtight container and place the pack on top of or next to the herb. Close your container. No need to activate, zero maintenance. Boveda Herb Humidity packs start working straight away. If the environment inside the container is dry, Boveda releases moisture. If the environment is humid, the pack absorbs moisture.

How does Boveda work?
Each Boveda humidity pack contains a sachet of purified water, natural salts and odourless food-grade thickener. It's all sealed in a leakproof membrane. This allows the salts and water to move through the membrane and absorb or release moisture as needed. Relative humidity levels in your stash box, jar or ziplock bag remain constant at 58% RH or 62% RH, values ideal for storing cannabis and other herbs. Too much moisture can cause mould to grow. Too little moisture causes herbs to dry out, lose flavour and potency.

How does Boveda preserve cannabis flavour, aroma and potency?
Maintaining the perfect moisture level preserves cannabinoids, terpenes and keeps away mould. Boveda’s salt-based humidity pack naturally coats trichomes in a monolayer shield of purified water molecules, preventing the degradation of cannabinoids and evaporation of terpenes. While it can take up to three weeks for the terp shield to fully form, most people notice results in just 24 hours.

Can you mix different humidity levels or add more than one pack?
Don't mix different relative humidity levels in the same container. They will counteract each other, reducing efficiency. But there's no such thing as too many herb humidity packs. Adding two or more of the same RH level will make the packs last longer. Don't worry, Boveda packs never release too much moisture!

How do you know when it's time to replace the 2-way humidity pack?
Your Boveda Herb Humidity pack should feel like thick jelly or dense clay.

  • Boveda is still working if you feel: Hardening at its corners or soft spots among some hard areas. Changes in temperature can create recrystallization of the salts. This is normal and will not impact performance.
  • Boveda is expired if: The entire pack feels rock solid all the way through. Replace your Boveda pack.

How long does a Boveda Humidity Pack last?
Around 2-4 months. This depends on the moisture content of your herb, how frequently you open the container and storage conditions.
