What is wild dagga?
Wild Dagga or Leonotis leonurus is a 2-meter shrub native to South Africa. Wild Dagga is commonly known as Lion's Tail or Dacha. Wild Dagga means wild hemp. The leaves and orange flowers are traditionally dried and smoked by the Khoikhoi. Other Wild Dagga varieties with comparable effects have been found in East Africa and California. The main psychoactive compound appears to be leonurine. More research is being done to identify the possibility of a phytocannabinoid-like compound in Wild Dagga.

What is wild dagga used for?
People use dagga as a tea or added to a joint for a relaxing, slightly euphoric cannabis-like high. In higher doses, it has been reported to produce changes in visual perception.
