Barney’s Farm took the wildly popular Critical Mass and crossed it with ruderalis, creating a strain aptly named Critical Rapido. Critical Rapido retains all the traits of her Critical Mass heritage but remains small like a good little auto flowering for just eight to nine weeks.
Autoflowering Traits
Most cannabis plants start to flower at the end of the summer as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes. Autoflowering plants are not dependent on changing seasons and the daylight decrease. These plants prefer as much light as possible (12-18 or even 24 hours) throughout their growth cycle and enter the flowering stage automatically after a certain number of weeks, regardless of how much light they receive. This is due to their genetic makeup. Autoflowering plants are crossbred with the genes of Cannabis ruderalis, which by nature is the only member of the cannabis family that flowers automatically regardless of light hours. Crossbreeding the ruderalis plant with cannabis strains results in plants with the following advantages:
- Easy to grow; ideal for beginners
- Automatically enter the flowering stage
- Usually short, ideal for various growing locations
- Fast grower, quick harvest
- Relatively high yields
Fragrance & Flavour
Critical Rapido has a dank, earthy pine and kush aroma. This indica dominant autoflowering strain tastes spicy and woody with a slightly sour kick.
Effects
Barney’s Farm Critical Rapido has a heavy, relaxing effect allowing your brain to shut off and zone out for a bit. If you have a ton of obligations or need to stay alert save this strain for later in the day. Critical Rapido lifts mood, calms nerves, and spreads relaxation throughout your body. High doses will leave you feeling sleepy and induce a strong couch-lock sensation.
Growing Characteristics
Critical Rapido offers a generous yield despite its size. Outdoors Critical Rapido performs best in warmer climates. The strain shifts automatically into flowering in the fifth week. Critical Rapido grows several side branches and is densely packed with shiny, resin covered colas.
