G13 Haze Feminized (Barney's Farm)

This offspring of the infamous G13 and Barney’s favourite Hawaiian Sativa has an interesting backstory to say the least. According to cannabis lore, G13 is the result of a breeding program conducted by the US government back in the ‘60s. Somehow a clone of this superior indica strain made its way onto the cannabis scene and, fast forward, ended up in the hands of Barney’s Farm. Is there truth to any of this? We can't say for sure, but what we do know is that hybrid strain G13 Haze went on to win first place overall at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2007.

Feminised Traits
Feminised seeds are specifically bred to produce all female plants. Purchasing high-quality genetics from reputable seedbanks is highly recommended, this diminishes your chances of finding male or hermaphrodite plants among your crop. Feminised plants, contrary to autoflowers, depend on the photoperiod to flower. In the early growing stage feminised marijuana plants need 18 hours of daylight and 6 hours of darkness. The plants start the flowering period at the end of the summer (usually August) as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes (12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness). Compared to autoflowering seeds, feminised seeds have the following advantages:

1. Plants are usually taller/more robust
2. Higher yield
3. Higher potency than autoflowering plants
4. Possibility to extend the growing stage/develop mother plants

Fragrance & Flavour
G13 Haze has a deep earthy aroma with undertones of fruit and spices. The flavour is just as intense as the fragrance culminating in a savoury, hazy toke.

Effects
Crossing the indica strain G13 with a landrace Haze pretty much neutralised the heavy stoned effect. G13 Haze provides an intense cerebral high that energises the body and mind without being too overwhelming.

Growing Characteristics
For a sativa dominant strain, G13 Haze is short and compact with many robust side stems. Outdoors this feminised strain can grow much higher though; some hobbyists report the plant reaching a height of 3 metres. By the time G13 Haze is ready for harvest, her dense buds will be covered in orange and brown pistils.
