Jack Herer Feminized (Sensi Seeds)

The original Jack Herer, a multi-award winning strain, is still one of the most popular strains around and far from difficult to grow. Jack Herer feminised is even easier and more manageable for growing indoors.

Jack Herer Phenotypes
Jack Herer feminised seeds produce a range of phenotypes though most plants will show sativa growth patterns with vigorous bud and resin production characteristic of the finest indicas. Around one in four plants will show indica influenced growth patterns with less height gain and dense bud clusters.

Feminised Traits
Feminised seeds are specifically bred to produce all female plants. Purchasing high-quality genetics from reputable seedbanks is highly recommended, this diminishes your chances of finding male or hermaphrodite plants among your crop. Feminised plants, contrary to autoflowers, depend on the photoperiod to flower. In the early growing stage feminised marijuana plants need 18 hours of daylight and 6 hours of darkness. The plants start the flowering period at the end of the summer (usually August) as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes (12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness). Compared to autoflowering seeds, feminised seeds have the following advantages:

2. Higher yield
3. Higher potency than autoflowering plants
4. Possibility to extend the growing stage/develop mother plants

Fragrance & Flavour
Jack Herer plants emit a subtle aroma when flowering. Once dried and cured the intricate composition of the strain’s heritage comes through. The complex flavour combines the spicy, pungent aroma of Haze, the earthiness of Afghan Indica and slightly fruity Skunk aromas. This rich bouquet of scent and flavour varies depending on the phenotype.

Effects
Jack Herer feminised with its high THC levels is incredibly potent but never overwhelming. The balanced hybrid offers both indica and sativa effects, an energizing cerebral high offset by a calming full body buzz.

Growing Characteristics
Jack Herer is not the most difficult strain to grow but will require some care. The strain performs best in warm, sunny climates with warm summers. Jack Herer feminised flowers for approximately 50 to 70 days. The sativa leaning phenotypes may require a longer flowering time of up to 12 weeks while indica leaning phenotypes can flower for as little as 8 weeks. To maximise yield, growers would do well allowing Jack Herer feminised to flower for a full 10 weeks.

Keep in mind that Jack Herer is a tall plant with a heavy yield. The majority of the various phenotypes will double their vegetative height during flowering with some sativa leaning phenotypes even tripling in size. Buds are made up of large, dense calyxes, and when grown well, are coated in a thick layer of glistening resin. The more indica dominant phenotypes tend to produce large, centralised buds while the best versions of the sativa phenotypes’ dense, resin coated calyxes end up twisting together giving the large colas a braided appearance.
