Grow your own colourful bud! Purple Bud Automatic is the offspring of an Afghan-Jamaican cross and a double-Kush hybrid, made from Dutch-bred Hindu Kush and a Californian Purple Kush, mixed with ruderalis genes. White Label stabilised the strain through backcrossing resulting in an easy-to-grow, violet-hued autoflowering variety perfect for cooler climates.

Autoflowering Traits
Most cannabis plants start to flower at the end of the summer as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes. Autoflowering plants are not dependent on changing seasons and the daylight decrease. These plants prefer as much light as possible (12-18 or even 24 hours) throughout their growth cycle and enter the flowering stage automatically after a certain number of weeks, regardless of how much light they receive. This is due to their genetic makeup. Autoflowering plants are crossbred with the genes of Cannabis ruderalis, which by nature is the only member of the cannabis family that flowers automatically regardless of light hours. Crossbreeding the ruderalis plant with cannabis strains results in plants with the following advantages:

Purple Bud Automatic smells and tastes just as exotic as she looks. The fragrant bud boasts a rich, pine-sandalwood aroma with sweet, fruity and musky undertones. The flavour is reminiscent of sandalwood with hints of sweet fruits like grapes and berries

Growing Characteristics
Purple Bud Automatic combines the genetics of some of the most important cannabis strains across the world. She’s easy to grow but does require some experience with cannabis cultivation. Experienced hobby growers will want to cultivate this strain just for her striking colours.

Purple Bud Automatic performs well both indoors and outdoors, even in cooler climates. After the initial vegetative state ( around 4 – 6 weeks) Purple Bud Auto automatically enters the flowering stage. Bud formation tends to focus on her main stem and upper branches merging into large, plump buds in the final weeks of flowering.

Purple Bud Automatic displays a wide range of shades; leaves can range from green to dark-blue green, to lavender, violet, burgundy and dark red. These hues can also be observed in her calyxes and large, resinous flowers. Usually, cannabis plants display purple or blue hues when they’re exposed to colder nighttime temperatures in the vegetative state and/or flowering stage. Purple Bud Automatic presents a variety of colours even under normal growing conditions. The best examples of Purple Bud Auto produce rich, reddish-purple, almost velvety nugs that shimmer under a layer of sparkly trichomes.
