Shiva Skunk Automatic (Sensi Seeds)

Released in 1987, the original photoperiod Shiva Skunk is still among the most potent cannabis strains ever created. Shiva Skunk Automatic is the most recent evolution adding autoflowering ruderalis genes to the already potent combination of Northern Lights #5 and Skunk #1.

Autoflowering Traits
Most cannabis plants start to flower at the end of the summer as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes. Autoflowering plants are not dependent on changing seasons and the daylight decrease. These plants prefer as much light as possible (12-18 or even 24 hours) throughout their growth cycle and enter the flowering stage automatically after a certain number of weeks, regardless of how much light they receive. This is due to their genetic makeup. Autoflowering plants are crossbred with the genes of Cannabis ruderalis, which by nature is the only member of the cannabis family that flowers automatically regardless of light hours. Crossbreeding the ruderalis plant with cannabis strains results in plants with the following advantages:

2. Automatically enter the flowering stage
3. Usually short, ideal for various growing locations
4. Fast grower, quick harvest
5. Relatively high yields

Fragrance & Flavour
Shiva Skunk’s fragrance is delightful, a blend of skunky musky aromas and sweet citrus fruits with earthy undertones. The smoke she produces is thick, creamy and resinous.

Shiva Skunk Auto’s predecessors, the original Shiva Skunk and the feminised photoperiod version, are well known for their mind boggling potency. This autoflowering flowering version’s effects are no different. Start off slow, take it easy with the tokes, her extreme potency can take even the most experienced cannabis enthusiast by surprise. Her effects run the gamut from filling the user with so much euphoric energy that they can’t sit still to grounding them in deep thought.

Growing Characteristics
Shiva Skunk Automatic offers the best combination of easy-to-grow and extreme potency. Thanks to her Skunk genetics Shiva Skunk Auto can be grown indoors or outdoors in most climates including cooler temperate climates. She begins flowering automatically around 6 to 8 weeks into the vegetative state. The flowering stage lasts around 8 to 10 weeks.

In the last few weeks of flowering bud production explodes and what will become a prominent layer of resin becomes more and more visible. Dried Shiva Skunk Automatic buds have a spear like appearance and glisten in the light. Under a microscope the shimmering layer of trichomes can refract tiny rainbows.
