CBD Sweet and Sour Widow is a strong, hardy strain offering balanced CBD to THC ratios. By buying CBD Sweet and Sour Widow seeds, you’re guaranteed the final yield will be high in CBD, ideal for medicinal cannabis users and recreational users who can’t tolerate high THC strains.
Regular Traits
Regular seeds grow into either female or male plants, the way nature intended. For a long time, regular seeds were the only way to grow cannabis. It's the female cannabis plant that produces smokable bud, which is why through knowledge and expertise feminised seeds were created. Some classic old school strains are not available in feminised seed form. Those available as feminised seeds are the phenotype selected by the breeder. Regular seeds offer a way to grow a genetically untouched phenotype that expresses the strain’s full lineage.
Plants grown from regular seeds depend on the photoperiod to flower. In the early growing stage cannabis plants need 18 hours of daylight and 6 hours of darkness. The plants start flowering at the end of the summer (usually August) as the days become shorter and the amount of sunlight diminishes (12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness).
Regular seeds have the following advantages:
- Plants are usually tall/more robust
- High yield
- High potency
- Possibility to extend the growing stage/develop mother plants
- Possibility to create your own strain
Male vs Female
It’s impossible to tell which of your regular seeds will become male or female plants until the onset of the flowering stage. Males produce round or oval pods, where the branches meet the main stalk, while females produce calyxes shaped like teardrops out of which white hairs (pistils) start to grow. In general, male plants show their sex before female plants do. The ratio of male to female is about 1:1, so usually 50% of your crop will be useless unless you’re planning to breed your own strain. If you don’t remove the males, they’ll pollinate the females, and the female plants will begin to produce seeds instead of focusing their energy on bud production.
