What is Kratom?

Kratom, or Mitragyna speciosa, is a tree native to Southeast Asia. It belongs to the same botanical family as the coffee tree. Kratom contains over 25 alkaloids. The main alkaloids are mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine.
